The Constitution act of 1982 was only one part of the Constitution of Canada. This act was discovered on April 17th 1982. There are seven parts to the Constitution act of 1982. Part number one is the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This declares that’s all Canadians have the following rights:
The Freedom of conscience and religion
Freedom to express ones feelings ad opinion
Freedom of association
Everyone has the right to vote
All Canadians have the right to leave and enter the country
Everyone has the right to be protected from unnecessary searches and seizures
Citizens have the right to not be arbitrarily detained
If you are arrested you have the right to a lawyer
You’re until proven guilty in court
All Canadians have the right to not be punished unusual and cruel ways
In part fifteen everyone is entitled to equal opportunities and no discrimination on colour, religion, race, nationality, age, gender or any type of disabilities. Anyone who is a homosexual is also entitled to protection from discrimination. The Constitution act of 1982 was a great thing for Canada because so many great rights were presented to the Citizens of Canada. Canada should be grateful for the Constitution act of 1982.
