Thomas Norman Kemp Beard

On 1921 Commander Charles Taschereau Beard and Kathleen Adele Beard were blessed with a baby boy who they named Thomas Norman Kemp Beard. Their son Thomas Norman Kemp Beard would soon become a midshipman apart of the Royal Canadian Navy and save lives fighting against enemies countries. Thomas Norman Kemp Beard was in the division of H.M.S. Hood and was a Midshipman. The job of a Midshipman was to look out for enemies plus they did many different things around the boat, they were overseas soldie

After all of Thomas Norman Kemp Beards work he sadly passed away on May 24th 1941. You can find his grave in Halifax, Canada. He is a part of the Halifax Memorial among 3,000 others who were all buried there. You will find his name on panel number 5.

The Royal Canadian navy helped us win World War Two because without them if would have been a lot harder to fight because we would be fighting many more troops that came off boats onto the land. The Royal Canadian Navy has served Canadian in many ways to help win World War Two; they stopped ships before they came to the land minimizing the amount of troops that had to be killed on land and they had to protect the Atlantic lifeline from threatening ships coming towards them.
